Dr. Sandra Gómez Rojas is a consultant hematologist specializing in hematology diagnostics, laboratory hematology, cytology, and red blood cell disorders. She is passionate about advancing laboratory medicine through innovation, automation, and quality improvement. As Head of the Hematology Laboratory at HD Diagnostics, Dr. Gómez Rojas oversees one of Europe's highest-volume CBC testing facilities, working to optimize laboratory workflows while maintaining the highest standards of diagnostic quality. Her previous experience at Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre includes serving as Quality Manager for the Hematology Laboratory, contributing as a member of the Hematology Committee of the Spanish Society of Laboratory Medicine (SEMEDLAB), and mentoring residents as a hematology tutor. Her research interests focus on laboratory automation, artificial intelligence, and the translation of technological advances into improved patient care outcomes.
