This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of urinary tract infections (UTIs), including a description of the causative pathogens associated with UTIs and how they manifest. It will also describe how UTIs are diagnosed and treated, delving into the use of antibiotics and antimicrobial resistance.
In this webinar, Dr. Jeffrey Henderson, Washington University School of Medicine, and Lisa Ritenour, University of Akron, will explore the complexity of UTIs from the routine to the more unique and complicated cases. In addition to this overview, attendees will gain insight from a university clinic which implements routine urinalysis testing and successfully provides results and treatment in the same day. The goal of this webinar will be to provide a fundamental understanding of UTIs and the role that urinalysis plays in their diagnosis and treatment.
